PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, though it is important to precisely detect the internal position of a capsule type endoscope for reducing a burden of an operation on a patient and resolving excess and deficiency of imaging, the position is conventionally detected from the intensity of an electromagnetic wave from the capsule, which is inferior in accuracy of the position. SOLUTION: This detecting method of the internal position of the capsule type endoscope is characterized in imaging a light from an infrared light emitter incorporated in the capsule, by a plurality of infrared cameras installed extracorporeally and in specifying the position of the capsule based on information obtained as a three-dimensional image.
