METHOD FOR INCREASING SPECIFIC SURFACE AREA OF SLIGHTLY SOLUBLE DRUG

A method for preparing a powder being improved in the rate of dissolution, characterized in that it comprises converting a slightly soluble drug having an acidic group (for example, 3-(5-{2-[5-methyl-2-(4-methylphenyl)-1,3-oxazole-4-yl]ethoxy}3,4-dihydronaphthalene-1-yl)propanoic acid and the like) to a solution of a metal salt thereof, and then neutralizing the solution to thereby precipitate the drug. The above method allows the preparation of a powder being increased in its specific surface area and improved in the rate of dissolution, and thus is markedly useful as a method for the production of a raw powder of a drug.
