<p>The present invention relates to a milling cutter, intended to sharpen electrodes for welding, the milling cutter comprising a tool body (1; 101) as well as a number of cutting inserts (3, 5, 7; 3, 105, 7; 203; 303) fastened in the tool body (1; 101), the milling cutter comprising at least one centre cutting insert (3; 203; 303) having two principal planes (10, 11; 210, 211; 310, 311) located at a distance from each other, that at least one cutting edge (14, 15; 214, 215; 314, 315) is associated with the respective principal plane (10, 11; 210, 211; 310, 311), and that the milling cutter comprises at least two peripheral cutting inserts (5, 7; 105, 7), each of which has at least one cutting edge (20, 25; 120, 25). The invention also separately relates to the centre cutting insert (3; 203; 303). Characteristic of the milling cutter according to the present invention is that the centre cutting insert (3; 203; 303) has a concave surface (16; 216; 316) extending between the cutting edges (14, 15; 214, 215; 314, 315) of the respective principal plane (10, 11; 210, 211; 310, 311).</p> |
