POLY(ISOSORBID OXALATE) RESIN

摘要

A poly(isosorbid oxalate) resin comprising a repeating unit of the following formula as its main repeating unit has not only excellent biodegradability but also high heat resistance, chemical resistance and transparency. Thus, the resin is useful as a packaging film or sheet, or as a novel molding material for automobile, electrical appliance, electronic equipment or precision instrument. Further, the resin as its waste is biodegradable ensures strikingly low adverse impact on environment.
