A power supply apparatus of a discharge processing machine for welding/removing a workpiece by supplying a pulsed power to the work gap between an electrode (1) and the workpiece (2), comprising the second processing circuit for controlling a voltage to be applied to the work gap to cause a discharge therein; the first processing circuit operative, during a first driving scheme, to cause a constant current to flow in the work gap when detecting the discharge caused in the work gap by the voltage applied by the second processing circuit, while being operative, during a second driving scheme, to cause a voltage source (14) supplying a power in the second processing circuit to exhibit a constant voltage; and connecting means (13) for closing the connection with a power supply (4) so as to supply the power thereof via the second processing circuit during the first driving scheme, while opening the connection with the power supply (4) so as to cause the second processing circuit to be operative on the constant voltage from the voltage source (14) during the second driving scheme.
