The electrical installation device has a first housing component connected via a fastening element (2) to another housing component which has a mating fastening piece. A locking element (3) is mounted on the shank (7) of the fastening element. At least one of the two oppositely disposed effective surfaces (8,10) of the locking element is constructed as helicoid surface and at least one of the associated mating surfaces (9,11) of the first or additional housing components has a similar construction.
