Security chip card (1) for storing data relating to the lock cylinders and keys of a lock system. The data are stored in a machine- readable information carrier (3) and are used by the lock system owner to obtain replacement or expansion parts. Both transaction numbers and identification numbers can be stored in the card. An independent claim is made for a maintenance method for a lock system comprising lock cylinders and keys.
