The light has housing (2) including light measurement components and is fastened by two fasteners (5) to a car body of a vehicle through a screw connection. Two hook-shaped locking units are formed at one fastener for pre-contacting the housing on the car body, and another fastener stays in thread engagement with the former fastener. The latter fastener is supported partially on the hook-shaped locking unit in a fastening position. An independent claim is also included for a method for fastening a head lamp to a vehicle.
