A simple shaft coupling with torque limiting properties comprises a coupling sleeve (1) with inner recesses (2) into which are fitted radial friction grips (3, 4) which connect to a drive shaft inserted into the sleeve. The friction grips can be simple elastic O-rings with Shore values and geometry determining the limiting torque. The grip rings can have different cross sectional shapes and can be injected into the recesses.
