Process for aiding the takeoff of an aircraft. According to the invention, a reference speed VRref is chosen arbitrarily and the deviation existing between this reference value and the rotation speed value is determined and the elevators and/or the adjustable horizontal tailplane of the aircraft ( 1 ) is/are acted upon to take account of said deviation.
