A fixing device for an orthopedic apparatus for correction of toe defects is of the type having an element (4) fixing a shank (8) to a linking strip (2) in the region of the big toe (5) and an element (1) fixing a shank (11) of strip (2) in the mid-foot zone is such that element (4) when in use has a tensile line (6) enclosing an angle (alpha ) with the shank direction (7,7a) so that a force (F1) is exerted on the strip (2) in the lengthwise direction (9) of the foot.
