A seat back pad (14) is provided with a longitudinally extending groove (36), in which an insert wire (40) for fixing a seat skin thereon is buried. The insert wire (40) is provided at the sections thereof which are opposed to an air bag with bent portions (44), each of which are curved in the shape of the letter "C", a slub pad (46) being wound around an outer circumference of base part (44A) thereof. In this side air bag-carrying seat structure, the bend portions (44) of the insert wire (40) are extended diagonally in a rear inner portion of the seat back (10). Thus, the length of the portions of the insert wire which are buried in the seat back pad (14) is increased, and an ill influence upon the riding comfort is minimized.
