摘要 <p>An elevator group control system which operates in the same shaft a plurality of cages capable of moving freely from each other. A platform destination floor registering device, having the functions of capable of registering a destination floor and predicting to passengers a responding cage for each registered destination floor, is provided at each platform. The control system comprises a zone setting means for setting a priority zone and a common zone for each of up and down cages, an entry judging means for judging whether or not each of up and down cages can enter a common zone set by the zone setting means, a means of keeping a cage on a safe standby according to the judgment result by the entry judging means, a means of moving a cage to a waiting floor as required when each of cages completes its service, an assigning/candidate-selecting means of assigning a cage that can avoid a danger of collision and a safe standby and selecting it as a candidate according to a destination call responsible by each cage and a set zone when a destination call is made at a platform, and a means of determining the finally-assigned cage based on a selection result by the assigning/candidate-selecting means.</p>
