When a calcification for instance at the capsule of the shoulder joint is detected with an appropriate device an extra-corporeal shock wave treatment can be applied. The arm is positioned on top of a platform (1) assembled of two segments (1a, 1b) and fixed with two strips of Velcro(RTM) (7). The fingers are guided through the space under a handle (4) joined to the front of a circular scale (2, 5) movable attached to a vertical element (3). A mark is drawn at the appropriate spot of the skin used as reference for the later treatment.
