APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING COATED FUEL PARTICLE FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE GAS-COOLED REACTOR

<p>[PROBLEMS] To provide an apparatus for manufacturing high quality coated fuel particles by optimizing the design of gas lead-in routes and nozzle openings to stably and uniformly supply a coating material gas into a reaction vessel. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] This apparatus for manufacturing the fuel particles comprises the fluidized-bed reaction vessel forming a plurality of coated layers on its surface by leading the coating gas and/or a streaming gas from a gas lead-in nozzle under a heating environment to fluidize the fuel kernels of uranium dioxide. The gas lead-in nozzle comprises a disk-like nozzle body fitted to the bottom part of the reaction vessel and forming at least a part of the bottom center part of the vessel, the plurality of openings disposed on the multi-stage circumferences of the disk-like nozzle body concentrical to the bottom surface center axis of the reaction vessel, one or more gas lead-in routes communicating with the plurality of openings from the bottom surface side of the vessel by passing it through the disk-like nozzle body in the fitted state to the reaction vessel from the inside to the outside of the reaction vessel, and one or more gas lead-in tubes communicating with the one or more gas lead-in routes from a coating material gas supply source on the outside of the reaction vessel and supplying the coating material gas to the route.</p>
