Perorally administered pharmaceutical preparations contain as medicinal substance pentaerythritol tetranitrate (PETN) or its metabolites pentaerythritol trinitrate, pentaerythritol dinatrate as either pentaerythrito mononitrate in such amounts which guarantee the patient a sufficient dosage with one administering (per day).
