The control device has a proofing adapter (PA) connected on one side to a configuring calculator (ECC) and on the other to a portable configuring calculator (PECC). The portable configuring calculator has a field-element-specific setting part (WSTT, SSTTP) and to a control computer (C-PC) controlling the setting part.
