In ink-jet recording material with a substrate having at least an undercoat and a top coat containing pigment, the top coat contains a mixture containing free radical inhibitor(s) (I) and ultraviolet (UV) absorber(s) (II) in (1-6):1 ratio. An Independent claim is also included for ink-jet recording material with a substrate having at least an undercoat and a top coat containing pigment, in which the undercoat contains a mixture containing (I) and (II) in (1-6):1 ratio.
