The device has an elastically deformable sleeve (4) partially surrounding the peripheral of a yoke (3) along the yoke`s length and including a terminal part (4a) fixed to a slug (3a). The slug extends from a side opposite to a steering rack (1), so that an axial push is exerted on the terminal part of the sleeve, and the friction of the sleeve on an inner wall of the casing barrel (2a) is accentuated.
