An evaporator having a housing connected to an electrical power supply via connection plug, and a packaging container filled with volatile product, is new. A fuse, immersed in volatile product, is extended into a cylindrical electrical resistance heater inside the housing and is partly covered by a curved movable screen at the lower face of the heater. The screen is connected to an end handle outside the housing via arm.
