Production of decorative laminated board by placing press foil webs with surface structure on top of resin impregnated decor paper laminate and pressing

Resin-impregnated decor paper is press-bonded to a base layer and press foil webs having a surface structure intended to match at least one decor section of the decor paper are positioned on top of the decor paper and then removed after pressing to form a laminate having a decor surface with a matching surface structure in register with the decor of the decor paper. Continuous process for producing decorative board including at least one thermosetting resin-impregnated paper layer comprises the following steps: (a) placing a decor paper web or sheet having a number decor sections intended to form the decor of a decorative panel on top of a base layer and bonding it to the latter by pressing under elevated pressure; (b) accurately positioning a number of press foil webs having a surface structure intended to match at least one decor section of the decor paper on top of the resin-impregnated paper layer before pressing; and (c) removing the press foil webs after pressing so that the resulting laminate has a decor surface with a matching surface structure in register with the decor of the decor paper.
