<p>A procedure of preparation and packaging of sweet potato (Lat. ipomoea batatas) according to the invention assures unobjectionable potato regarding its appearance, taste and composition in the alimentary sense. The essence of the procedure according to the invention is that after cleaning and cutting operations, deeply frozen potatoes are temporarily packed into airtight package at first, where they remain till packaging for the market. This market package is a double one, i.e. comprising interior spacing package which is air-permeable and prevents potatoes to get in contact with exterior package, which is airtight. Potatoes packed in this way can be kept in the frozen state all the time till the sale to the final buyer.</p> |
