A method of clean mining of mineral deposits by chamber-and-pillar system: The exploitation field is cut with chamber workings into rectangular technological pillars, which are in turn cut into supporting pillars, arranged into rows, parallel to a gob line, and mined mechanically in stages, beginning from the gob line and proceeding in the direction of the exploitation front progress. It is characterised in that waste rock is placed between the line of gobs and the longer side of the adjacent pillar (3) in the last row, and at the crossing of the chamber (1) with the adjacent zone (2), and between the shorter side of the pillar and the shorter side of the opposite pillar in the next row. The waste rock is formed into a supporting pillar (4). After mining each successive part of the pillar (3), the substitute pillar (4) in the chamber (1) is extended, between the partly-mined pillar (3) and the next pillar of a given row, by the length of the mined part of the pillar (3) or by a smaller length. The following parts of a given pillar are mined in the same manner. After mining its last part , a new substitute pillar (4) is formed and fills in the space of the remaining part of the chamber (1), adjacent to the already-mined pillar (3) and the space where the chamber crosses with the zone (2), and the space between the shorter side of the next pillar in a given row and the opposite pillar in the next row. The work cycle is repeated for the successive pillars in a given row and in the next rows. |
