<p>The invention relates to a reverse emulsion-type composition, to a liquid membrane and to a process for removing the radioactive uranium ions from effluents. The reverse emulsion-type composition comprises an organic phase containing kerosene and representing 30...70% by volume, and an aqueous phase consisting of a sodium hydrogen carbonate of a concentration ranging from 0.5 to 1.5 M, representing 70-30% by volume. The organic phase contains an emulsifier ensuring the transportation of uranyl ions, consisting of C14-C18 alkyl chain fatty amines, whose concentration is of 1-3g/100ml of organic phase. According to the invention, the liquid membrane comprises the claimed composition, included and dispersed in the water, containing the uranyl ions, in a reverse emulsion : water of ration of 1:15-1:30. According to the invention, the process for removing the radioactive uranium ions, consists in dispersing the claimed emulsion-type composition in water subjected to the treatment, in stirring the system for 10-15 min, at a speed ranging from 150 to 250 rot/min by means of an multistaged propeller type agitator, separating by settling the treated water, destroying the reverse-emulsion by heating the same, while stirring at a temperature of 100 C thereby, resulting the organic phase containing a part of the emulsifier, and which can be reintroduced into the process, and the internal phase containing the uranyl ions.</p> |
