The pipe (10) is made from a substrate (12) of a composition material formed from woven glass or carbon fibres impregnated with a polymerisable resin, and has an inner lining (14) of an impermeable plastic film 0.025 - 0.050 mm thick that is assembled with the substrate during polymerisation of the resin to make a monolithic structure. The duct can be made in two curved sections (10A, 10B) of lined substrate with overlapping edges (16, 18, 20, 22) that are assembled during polymerisation of the resin. The assembly process can be carried out in a steam-heated mould with an inflatable insert.
