Surfactant composition for gypsum boards

A gypsum plaster composition comprising in combination with plaster and water, a surfactant composition is disclosed, wherein surfactant composition comprises alkylsulphates of formula H(CH2)nOSO3-M+, wherein: n is from 6 to 16 and the average number of carbon atoms in the alkylsulphate composition nm ranges between 10 and 11, and M is a monovalent cation. A method for preparing the plaster composition and a gypsum plaster board from the said composition is also disclosed. The composition is suitable for producing lightened gypsum plaster boards.
