The system has a validation circuit (4) connected to a biometric fingerprint sensor (6) and having in memory an acceptation threshold and biometric signatures (SBA) of persons authorized to use a cooking appliance (1). The sensor transmits a biometric signal to the circuit which compares the signal to the threshold and signatures to allow the functioning of a control circuit (3) only if the signal corresponds to one of the signatures.
