A payment and distribution system that facilitates the payment for goods delivered to a first party, for example, a retailer, from a second party, for example, a wholesaler, by a third party delivery agent. The System includes a remote delivery terminal that is associated with a delivery vehicle of the delivery agent. The terminal is responsive to the first party and/or the delivery agent, for providing a confirmation signal to confirm that the goods have been transported to the first party and to provide a predetermined value for the goods. A provider server is operated by a fourth party provider for receiving the confirmation signal and for maintaining a first account for the first party and a second account for the second party, wherein, in response to the confirmation signal, the first account is debited and the second account is credited.
