PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyolefin resin foam with good volume recovering properties and capable of replacing a combustible foaming gas with an inorganic gas such as air. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing the polyolefin resin extruded foam comprises extruding a molten gel obtained by melting and kneading a polyolefin resin, a combustible foaming agent, and at least one kind of shrinkage preventing agent selected from an ester of a fatty acid and a polyhydric alcohol, a fatty acid amide, and an alkyl fatty acid amide in an extruder, into a low pressure region to obtain a foam, and holding the foam at a temperature between a melting point-20°C of the shrinkage preventing agent and the melting point-3°C thereof to generate crackings larger than a width of 0.1μm in the layer of the shrinkage preventing agent existing on the surface of a bubble film of the foam.
