PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin composition by preventing discoloration which has high productivity, is excellent in strength at higher temperature, rigidity and impact strength, its composition and a molded article. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a thermoplastic resin composition which is manufactured by melting and kneading a thermoplastic resin and a continuous reinforcing fiber in a twin-screw extruder, the twin-screw extruder equipped with a section (A) for cutting the continuous reinforcing fiber and controlling the length of the reinforcing fiber on the downstream side over a feeding position of the reinforcing fiber, a section (B) for dispersing the reinforcing fiber cut in the section (A) on the downstream of the section (A), and a vent hole at a position on the downstream side containing the section (A), is used. The reinforcing fiber is fed from a position where the thermoplastic resin is under a molten condition in the twin-screw extruder, and the continuous reinforcing fiber is cut in the section (A). The cut reinforcing fiber is dispersed in the section (B), and the generated gas components are removed under vacuum in a range of -10 to -76 cmHg from the vent hole. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
