PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stroboscopic device such that a light emission part housing can stably be projected from and stored in a storage part of a device body without requiring any troublesome adjusting operation. SOLUTION: The device body 26 is fitted with a freely swingable lock lever 34 which is provided with a lock part 40 locked to an engagement part 33 of the light emission part housing 27 stored in the storage part 29 of the device body 26 at one end and provided with an abutting part 41 at the other end, a freely swingable return lever 35 such that a cam part 44 abutting against a rib 32 of the light emission part housing 27 is projected from an arm part 43, a swing arm 36 whose tip part 47 swings between nearby the lock lever 34 and a position where it abuts against the return lever 35, and a solenoid 38 which switches the swing arm 36 between a state where the swing arm is held and a state in which the swing arm is released, and the swing arm 36 is equipped with a pusher 37 which presses the abutting part 41 of the lock lever 34 so that the lock part 40 of the lock lever 34 engages the engagement part 33 of the light emission part housing 27.
