PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device capable of reducing a load to a communication terminal. SOLUTION: This recording device 3 mountable on/dismountable from the communication terminal is equipped with an electricity accumulation part 30, a microcomputer part 32, a recording part 33 and a detection part 35. The electricity accumulation part 30 accumulates the power supplied from the communication terminal. When an application software executed by the communication terminal has a program executable by the recording device 3, control information including the program is outputted from the communication terminal and received by the microcomputer part 32. A control part 320 of the microcomputer part 32 outputs a detection instruction to the detection part 35 based on the control information. A sensor part 350 of the detection part 35 senses a physical quantity around the communication terminal in response to the detection instruction, and generates an input signal based on the sensed physical quantity. A state information generation part 322 of the microcomputer part 32 generates state information based on the generated input signal, and stores it in the recording part 33.
