PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing suitable for selection of use conditions by preparing a uniform nitriding layer thickness than that of regular nitration using a molten salt in consideration of its shape. SOLUTION: The rolling bearing 10 comprises rollers 11, and a retainer 12 rotatably retaining the rollers 11. The retainer 12 has bent portions 17, 18, 21, and 22 which are given bending, and plasticized portions 23, 24, 25, and 26, in which the ratio for the radius of bent portion/thickness of a plate is 0.7 or less, are formed on the bent portions 17, 18, 21, and 22. The nitriding layers of the plasticized portions 23, 24, 25, and 26 are set up to be the ratio of 0.8 or more for inner thickness/outer thickness of the nitriding layers. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
