PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition suitable for oral administration to mammals and containing descarbonylethoxyloratadine (DCL) having stationary chemical and physical properties in accordance with the existing health registration requirement the United States and international health organization (e.g. FDA Good Manufacturing Practice, Guideline of the International Conference on Harmonization of Drug Regulation). SOLUTION: This pharmaceutical composition is such one that antiallergically effective amount of DCL is contained in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier medium containing a DCL-protective amount of a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, wherein the composition contains < 1 wt.% of N-formyl DCL.
