PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound which can form a thin film for a device having high device characteristics by a simpler technique, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The organosilicon compound is composed of aπelectron conjugated molecule constituted of a condensed ring or its derivative and a silyl group and a hydrophobic group which are bonded to the carbon atoms in theπelectron conjugated molecule, respectively.
