PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the practical problem in which a glass sheet reinforced with a wire gauze made of a mild steel wire is low in durability. SOLUTION: The glass sheet reinforced with the wire gauze is manufactured by inserting a wire gauze prepared by crossing wire materials each having a diameter of 0.45-0.64 mm, and welding intersection points to form square or rhombic meshes each having a length of one side of 8.0-21.0 mm, into a glass ribbon progressing from the outside in a molten state, wherein a nickel-plated layer having a thickness of 1.2-3.0μm is formed on the surface of each wire material.
