PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method of installing an escalator, safely and surely lifting even if a suspending wire is deflected in any direction, and safely and efficiently lifting or installing a weighty material such as an escalator. SOLUTION: In this construction method of lifting the escalator with the suspending wire and installing the same in a predetermined position, a wire guide tube is provided to penetrate at least two portions of an upper floor of the escalator to be installed, the suspending wire is passed through the wire guide tubes, thereby the upper parts of the respective suspending wires are lifted with the respective suspending frames, and the lower ends of the suspending wires are respectively connected to both ends of the escalator.
