PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the correction of zero points and gain characteristics of a yaw rate sensor 11 and an acceleration sensor 10 even when a vehicle is traveling. SOLUTION: An axial load applied to each wheel 1<SB>FL</SB>, 1<SB>FR</SB>, 1<SB>RL</SB>, 1<SB>RR</SB>is measured, and based on this measured value, a yaw rate and acceleration in the lateral direction applied to a vehicle body is estimated. This estimated value and the output values of the yaw rate sensor 11 and the acceleration sensor 10 are compared, and then the zero points and the gain characteristics of both of these sensors 11, 10 are corrected.
