PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photopolymerization apparatus capable of preventing the inner peripheral surface of a cover member from being soiled with a photochromic coating agent scattered by centrifugal force when the photochromic coating agent is applied on the surface of a work and then cured by light irradiation for example, and speedily curing the coating agent by the light irradiation. SOLUTION: In the photopolymerization apparatus 2 by means of spin coating, a 1st chamber 18 and a 2nd chamber 20 are formed respectively on the upper part of the cover member 9 and the lower part of the cover member 9 by constructing the cover member 9 fitted to cover the upper surface of the work W to have a recessed cross-section, a work holding and rotating part 6 is positioned in the 2nd chamber of the of the cover member 9 by relatively moving the cover member 9 or a base 4 in the axial direction, the work holding and rotating part 6 is rotated in this state and is transported into the 1st chamber 18 of the cover member 9 by relatively moving the cover member 9 or or the base 4 in the axial direction and the work is irradiated with light from a light irradiation device 10 in this state.
