The present invention relates to a device and an assembly process for making a plug connection through an opening in a partition wall, in which the plug connection has a first and a second plug which may be plugged into one another, and one of the plugs may be sealed off by way of a seal surrounding the opening. In order to secure connection of the plugs as simply as possible, one of the plugs has a clamping device which may be brought into engagement with the other plug. One of the plugs may have a tensioning device by means of wich this plug may be locked to prevent movement in a direction approximatively perpendicular to the direction in wich it is guided through the partition wall.
