<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchange units capable of keeping an inside of a heat exchange element sufficiently clean. <P>SOLUTION: The heat exchange unit 100 is provided with an indoor air discharge passage 8, an outdoor air supply passage 9, a heat exchange element 12 catalyst, and a first active species generating part. The heat exchange element 12 is communicated with the indoor air discharge passage 8 and the outdoor air supply passage 9. The catalyst is carried on the heat exchange element 12, and is activated to decompose, kill or inactivate a floating matter in air.
