<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control device capable of simply performing an operation test outside a car or a building without need for confirming the indication of an indicator in the vicinity of a control device. <P>SOLUTION: When simultaneously pushing a lock button L of the remote control 1 and an unlock button U for 5 seconds or more, a CPU 21 of the control device 2 executes the function confirmation program. The CPU 21 reads out an operation indicating message to an operator from a RAM 23, transmits it to the remote control 1 through a transmitter-receiver circuit 25, and indicates on the indicator 11. The CPU 21 determines whether each switch and sensor are good or bad by detecting the output of each switch and sensor based on an operator's operation, and transmits the determination result to the remote control 1 to indicate on the indicator 11.
