<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently recognize an electronic component stuck to a plurality of suction nozzles while cost is suppressed, and to improve tact. <P>SOLUTION: A component mounting device is provided with a component transfer head 107 sticking the electronic component supplied by a component supply 105 to the suction nozzle 125 and mounting it on a circuit board 101. The component transfer head 107 is relatively moved to a mounting position on the circuit board 101, and the electronic component stuck and kept by the suction nozzle 125 is mounted on the circuit board 101.
