<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compost an organic material or organic waste having high water content such as garbage by quickly treating without producing odor or sewage. <P>SOLUTION: The organic material or the organic waste is treated to be decomposed by fermenting the organic material or the organic waste with actinomyces while ventilating air in a stirring fermentor formed of a porous material, cooling the gas producing odor, moisture or the like, returning the hot air with the condensed water separated to the stirring fermentor to remove the odor and repeating the process.
