PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection cap for a pipe having excellent workability for mounting and pulling out, having a shape for preventing its easy removal after mounting, and made of a material allowing regeneration use. SOLUTION: This protection cap for the pipe is constituted in such a way that diameter of an insertion port part is smaller than than inside diameter of a main body, the insertion port part has smaller wall thickness than that of an outer peripheral part of the main body and is provided with contraction property, and this cap has a structure having a knob provided continuously with a belt part capable of swinging freely on an upper face of the main body and is formed by thermoplastic elastomer. Consequently, insertion becomes easy, it is possible to prevent mixing of foreign matter through the insertion port part and dropping and improve workability for pulling out, and regeneration use can be easily performed.
