PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof structure which exhibits outstanding water-proofness, processability and workability in spite of the simple structure constituted of a roof main body and a connecting body, which dispenses with a specific technic and can be assembled easily only by fixing with bolts, a canopy for a filling station with a simple structure, particularly for a measuring machine of gasoline, kerosene or the like, which can be assembled by directly driving chemical anchors in a conventional earth floor concrete, light in weight and easy in transportation, can remarkably shorten the construction period in the construction method and is practically and remarkably effective, and to provide a construction method. SOLUTION: The roof structure comprises the roof main body provided with engaging pieces prepared by bending inward both sides of a long plate, and the connecting body provided with connecting pieces prepared by bending downward both sides of a belt plate connecting the roof main body, allowing the connecting body to be connected to the roof main body with fitting bolts or the like to be inserted from above between the engaging pieces of the abutting roof main body.
