PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine by which a balance correcting process considering existence of added metallic ions is carried out when the unbalance is detected during spin-drying rotation of the washing tub carried out after adding metallic ions with antibacterial characteristics. SOLUTION: In this washing machine 1, metallic ions generated in an ion eluding unit 100 can be added in water in the final rinsing process. When unbalance is detected during spin-drying rotation of the washing tub 30 carried out after adding the metallic ions, processes different from that upon unbalance detection when the metallic ions are not added, i.e. "balance correcting rinsing after supplying metallic ion added water and agitating", "balance correcting rinsing after supplying metallic ion added water and agitating as displaying and/or reporting that the supplied water is metallic ion non-added water", "displaying and/or reporting that spin-drying rotation is stopped and unbalance is detected", etc., are carried out.
