摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transformed recombinant Escherichia coli containing a phbCAB gene derived from Alcaligenes eutrophus and a method for the mass-production of a polyhydroxyalkanoate by using the recombinant E.coli. SOLUTION: The invention provides transformed recombinant E.coli species MG1655/pTZ18U-PHB and JIL938/pTZ18U-PHB containing a phbCAB gene derived from Alcaligenes eutrophus, and a method for the mass-production of a polyhydroxyalkanoate containing a step to produce the transformed E.coli having a phbCAB gene derived from Alcaligenes eutrophus, a step (cell-growing stage) to inoculate the recombinant E.coli on a medium and perform the cell culture, a step (quiescent stage and product forming stage) to induce the formation of the polyhydroxyalkanoate from the recombinant E.coli, and a step to induce the extracellular secretion of the polyhydroxyalkanoate from the recombinant E.coli.
