The invention concerns a device (10) comprising a knitted article, such as a stocking, sock or tights with a leg portion designed to be urged into skin contact with the lower limb. It comprises, at least over part of its surface in contact with the lower limb, an electrically conductive knitted zone (24) connected to a muscle stimulation generator terminal (12). The height of the conductive zone (24) is defined so as to cover a large area of a selected region of the lower limb, in particular the calf, the thigh or the foot region, and the knitted fabric mesh of said conductive zone includes an electrically conductive weft yarn or base yarn. Advantageously, the mesh and the yarns of said article are selected so as to form a compression orthosis, designed to deliver a tapering retention from the ankle. |
