IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION MANAGING METHOD AND SYSTEM

A ticket system employing an IC card comprises a terminal, e.g. an entrance gate, and a server. A ticket incorporates an IC chip having read only identification information. The server manages a correspondence table of the identification information printed on the surface of the ticket and the identification information in the IC chip, and a correspondence table of new and old identification information when it is reissued. An inexpensive ticket system capable of mechanical processing is provided by delivering the data on the correspondence tables to the terminal, e.g. the entrance gate.
